Thai banana pancakes

Publication date:
Thai banana pancakes

According to history, "Roti" has Indian roots. Although the Malay word translates to "bread". Often on the streets of Thailand, you can hear the exact word "roti", which translates to Thai pancakes. 🥞

This dish is independently cooked by Hindus, Malays, and Thais. Since this happens right on the streets, pancakes fall into street food.

Thai banana pancakes can simply be drizzled with chocolate, honey, or condensed milk. Very often, a raw egg is added alongside the banana. 🍌

The pancakes are very thin and fry quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to spread the filling as quickly as possible and immediately flip it over to the other side by folding the "envelope".

Since they are fried in a pan, the size of the pancake should be slightly larger than the pan itself.

Many Russian tourists who come from Thailand fall in love with this delicate, sweet, elegant dessert so much that they start cooking it at home. 🥞

The recipes are quite simple. From ingredients, you can use plain wheat flour, cow's milk and water, olive oil, eggs, salt, sugar. The filling can be made from bananas and other fruits. 🍌🍓
